Dumbar’s career spans more than 30 years, and he has consistently sought to raise the standard of graphic design and visual communications, both at home and abroad.
He was raised in Indonesia, and the resulting dichotomy of place has impacted his views and responses to the world ever since. He studied graphic design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague, and concluded his studies in the postgraduate graphic design programme at the RCA, London.
